Job Description

To provide a high quality, customer driven service by pro-actively identifying and addressing customer needs in order to assist HSBC in the achievement of its plan.

To assist all customer types covering Premier, Advance, Mass and Commercial Banking and assisting associates with approvals over their limit.

Duties and Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

  • Providing a personalized, friendly and efficient cashiering service

  • Provide exceptional, efficient counter service for all customer segments, Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM), Premier and Corporate

  • Pro-actively encouraging new and existing customers to register for, and use, alternative delivery channels e.g. Personal Internet, Banking/self-service equipment for routine queries/transactions

  • Making effective customer contact to identify and address customer needs by actively promoting relevant bank solutions, referring on as appropriate

  • Updating customer profile screens with details of customer contact

  • Work closely with sales floor team to make effective referrals

  • Complete declarations forms properly and obtain clear and meaningful explanations on the source of funds

  • Be alert to customers who frequently visit the Bank to execute small transactions and advise his/her supervisor

  • Comply with policy and regulations to get satisfactory audit report with nil repeated recommendations

  • Abide by Group and Local procedures; Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements; Money laundering deterrence and audit recommendations


Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of cashiering procedures and regulations

  • Ability to complete all levels of transactions for all segments of customers

  • Knowledge of core products, account opening systems and Customer Relationship Management system

  • Knowledge of all branch operational procedures

  • Money Laundering Awareness Certificate held

  • Knowledge of Financial Services Act (FSA) and Consumer Credit Act (CCA) implications

  • Understanding of scored lending

  • Strong interpersonal and empathy skills

  • Good decision making skills and proven ability to deliver accuracy and efficiency

  • Attain appropriate franchise level for the role as per the Professional Standard Scheme (or equivalent)

Job Description

A branch based customer facing role generating revenue by meeting customer needs and service where required with personal banking and Advance customer segment. Providing consistently excellent customer experience and encouraging customers to use additional channels where appropriate to ensure delivery of the proposition. Undertakes all product sales including material risk products (where regulation permits) using EDRAS based sales process to discover customer needs. Providing referrals to both Wealth Sales and Branch Specialists based on customer needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

  • Understanding and meeting customer needs, maximizing the opportunities for HSBC to achieve the RBWM plan/metrics

  • Leading the Personal Banking proposition to ensure opportunities are identified and customer needs are met effectively, maximizing all available resources.

  • Compliance with the relevant Group standards and the Regulatory organization as applied to the implementation of the RBWM strategy in their country

  • Whilst the job holder does not have a direct portfolio of customers, they are responsible for generating leads and sales from the Personal Banking proposition and making referrals to Wealth

  • The jobholder will hold Lending Approval authorities appropriate to their role.

  • The job holder operates within the approved operating and strategic plan process to develop the RBWM business

  • Achieve personal RBWM performance metrics

  • Meeting customer expectations in terms of efficiency, accuracy, timeliness and professionalism of response either face to face or at the telephone.

  • Effective use of tools and information to drive customer service delivery and RBWM performance

  • In conjunction with your wider team build a high personal and corporate profile in the community in which you are based

  • Establish and agree customer contact strategies in line with Group operating models

  • Fully utilize and input to Customer Relationship Management data, ensuring all customer information is complete and kept up to date

  • Ensure Direct channels are fully utilized by the customer

  • Ensure all customer needs are met and sales opportunities are maximized

Job Requirements

  • Proven ability in customer relationship management

  • Ability to analyze financial priorities and influence customers to take appropriate action to meet their needs

  • An understanding of Credit Policies and Lending Guidelines.

  • An broad knowledge of financial planning and defining customer needs

  • A full understanding of referral processes

  • An understanding of the Premier, Advance and Personal Banking Propositions

Job Description

This is an outbound face-to-face customer facing role to generate revenue by delivering product recommendations and sales fulfilment to customers who require specific products.

The primary focus is on multiple sales streams or specialist products, however can identify cross sell opportunities based on customer need and refers where necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

  • Identifies and fixes appointments for meeting potential customers in order to present the products and services.

  • Provides the Sales Team with periodic reports of visits, i.e. Sales achievements, problems, customers’ feedback and any suggestions in order to help the team in achieving its targets.

  • Provides sales management with daily sales Activity reports.

  • Visits the potential customers and presents the services / products in an appropriate manner in order to contribute in meeting Sales targets

  • Maximizes all sales opportunities as sales management requests.
