Duties and Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:


  • In charge of General Sales Agent (GSA) and Passenger Sales Agents (PSA) selection, negotiation of agreements and contracting.

  • Liaise with the Cargo division for the joint selection of GSAs, where applicable. Product Business Cases to meet all Commercial objectives. Support Sales team and GSAs with their IT, communication & automation needs.

  • Manage all resources to ensure optimum utilization, control items of expenditure to pre-determine budgetary levels by maintaining a strict cost control policy, in particular commission costs of our GSAs and all other distributions, training and manpower development.

  • Manage Industry Affairs to represent the airlinein IATA conference and other organization. Assist in streamlining the internal process of ADM/ACM. Manage the contracting of land transportation such as bus services.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Admin. of Science/ Marketing or equivalent.

  • 10 years’ experience in a commercial airline passenger sale.

  • Good knowledge of English.

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:


  • Acts as primary point of contact for third party distribution vendors and vendors of related support services. Resolve and respond to day to day business queries; escalating issues to Head of Distribution, as required.

  • Monitor Kuwait Airways’ presence within contracted third party distribution systems (such as GDS’, OTAs and Meta-search Engines), ensuring that appropriate content is being displayed and maintained, and that such systems are optimized to ensure maximum revenue opportunities are realized for Kuwait Airways.

  • Liaise with Kuwait Airways Scheduling, Revenue Management and Pricing teams, to ensure that appropriate content is being distributed and updated via organizations such as ATPCO and OAG, to ensure that contracted GDS participation levels and business requirements are achieved.

  • Maintain contracts and supporting documentation for all third party distribution vendors and vendors of related support services, including a log of contracts, with commencement and expiry dates. Ensure that any applicable updates or notifications are distributed internally.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Administration of Science, Marketing or equivalent.

  • 8 years' varied experience in commercial airline or travel agency systems.

  • Very good knowledge of English.

  • Checks the education and experience certificates of new employees, taking photocopies and collating them along with the letter of appointment, contract, application forms and other documents required to open a personal file. Updates individual personal cards, with personal details, salary and work information and notes of any warnings, fines or deductions in salary.

  • Keeps lists of contractual staff and renewal date of the contract. Monitors regularly to notify the department three months prior to the termination date, if they wish the contract to be renewed, or terminated. Assists in drafting letters to inform the employee, Payroll Section and the department concerned and forwards to the superintendent for review.

  • Assists in processing recommendations for promotion, increments or extraordinary increments. Checks computer list and recommendations to ensure the employee is eligible. Completes separate lists containing the name, grade, position and recommendation for promotion, increments and extraordinary increments, and forwards to the supervisor to check and pass for approval. Updates salary details of personal cards on receiving approval, and drafts letters of notification for the department and the employee concerned.

In this role, you will provide an efficient and courteous sales/ticketing service for KAC customers and issues, reissue, endorse and reroute passenger air tickets in accordance with set procedures, ensuring accuracy of data on ticket coupons and in computer terminal. You are to assist customers with routings, hotel bookings, fare calculations, special requests, etc. as necessary

Duties and Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:


  • You are to discuss fares and routes with customers and issues, reissue, endorse and reroute tickets in accordance with established detailed procedures. This includes accurately calculating fares, booking flights, filling in coupons and routing copies to proper files.

  • You are to assist clients with routings, hotel bookings, fares information, seat selection, special meals, special handling for handicapped persons etc., and you are to provide any other assistance as necessary.

  • You are to reconfirm and/or cancel flight reservations for customers as requested. This includes inputting required data in assigned computer terminal.

  • You are to answer queries on the telephone regarding routings, bookings, fares, type of aircraft and other air travel related information.

  • You are to sort agents' and auditors' coupons serially to be included in the daily Records and Sales Report


Job Requirements

  • Completion of Secondary (12 years) education or equivalent.

  • Two (2) years experience in air ticketing, including 1 year of formal training.

  • Good knowledge of English.

  • Knowledge of relevant computer system and keyboard skills.

  • Supervises the activities of assigned personnel. Performs supervisory duties and exercises financial authority at the level established by Management for the position.

  • Provides the patients with commonly prescribed medicines. Includes proper preparation of packing, instructing the patient as to the proper use of the medicines both verbally and in writing.

  • Ensures continuous supply of medicines and other related items after consulting the Manager, Medical Centre. Includes obtaining required quantities and qualities from the Stores of the Ministry of Public Health or private suppliers, preparing the requisition forms and other related formalities. Monitors stocks and ensures adequate and regular supply of different items to avoid any sudden shortage. Follows up on the expiry dates of medicines and ensures that only valid ones are in stock.

  • Internationally recognized qualification to practice as a Pharmacist.

  • 5 years' experience as a Pharmacist.

  • Assists Supervisor in analyzing and achieving assigned sales promotion plans. Includes receiving a copy of approved sales plan and targets, assisting Supervisor in allocating targets to Sales Representatives in assigned area, following up on their performance, analyzing major deviation from targets and drafting reports recommending corrective actions.

  • Visits IATA and non-IATA Travel Agencies to promote related sales and collect information for monitoring their productivity and practices of other carriers and their agents. Assists in solving KAC agent’/clients’ problems and coordinates with reservation and traffic staff to provide booking facilities and special traffic handling for inclusive tours organized by KAC agents.

  • Visits Ministries, Government’s corporations, commercial houses, oil companies, other airlines, unions, various associations, sports clubs, business men, VIP’s and other prospective clients to promote sales to achieve established sales targets.

  • Receives and reviews clients requests and contacts Operations Department and Traffic personnel at Kuwait Station to arrange for aircraft preparation and necessary clearances. Includes negotiating any terms and conditions for additional services required by clients, calculating fares and completing contracts and processing to Supervisor for review and approval.


Job Requirements

  • Completion of 2 years of formal diploma in commercial discipline.

  • 4 years' experience in airline ticketing and reservation, including 1 year formal training and the successful completion of ticketing, reservation and airline sales training courses, 2 years of which as Sales Representative.
